About Me

Hi!  Welcome to Crazy A!  I’m Amie, the blogger, writer, photographer, and seamstress at this crazy blog.  I’m homeschooled and the second oldest of seven children.  I’m a young teenager with interests and dreams that might match up with yours!

I haven’t quite yet found a way into Narnia or Middle Earth, but there’s still time!  I’m a huge coffee fan and I read way too much.  In fact, my siblings have labeled me a “Bookworm”.  I’m also a furious writer.  I always have a story going on, whether I share it or it goes into the trash can as a bad effort.

Ah, doesn’t that just look like a feast of the mind?

I’m a doll fan (teenagers can play with dolls) but they aren’t a big fan of me.  Well, they do like me when I show them the little dresses I make them, but besides that, they’re pretty neutral.  You can find my wayward dolls at the blog I do with my sister, Rose, right here

Photography is a huge passion of mine.  Friends are used to seeing me tramping all by myself with my camera, Pixie.  Together, we take shots of God’s beautiful design and try to take portraits.

Now, since we all enjoy crazy random lists, here’s one for me.

    • I am a follower of Jesus Christ and he is my Savior and Lord.
    • I really like cows, like really.
    • We have two cats and three fish tanks.
    • I adore dogs and do not like  cats.
    • I study history and my favorite area is the nineteenth century.
    • I have dark auburn hair (when it’s clean)
    • I have spent too much time dreaming about horses!

      My friend’s horse and me
    • My ankles crack if I don’t wear shoes.  They wake up my younger siblings.
    • Tee-shirts are my favorite article of clothing.
    • I like boots best.
    • I have big feet
    • My hands are bigger than horse hoofs
    • My favorite color is light blue
    • I’d rather ride in a western saddle than english
    • Coffee isn’t a beverage, it’s a necessity
    • I don’t like plain pens.  What’s the point of writing with a plain pen?
    • I have braces.
    • My favorite school subject is History.
    • Are you done with this list yet?
    • Nope, go back up to the fifth point and notice I copied it a second time.  Hehe.
    • I’m musician…of sorts.
    • I play piano
    • My favorite author is…C.S.Lewis!  He’s an amazing author, guys!
    • I’m crazy about snow.  I mean, just crazy.
    • My heart is taken–by my bunny Snowball ❤  (You can find photos of him here)
    • I play banjo
    • I doodle a lot…sorta
    • Some people happen to call me a girl-friday.
    • Fiddle is one of my hobbies, as in a play that too.
    • Some books are just better left un-read
    • I am an author at Noble Novels
    • I play guitar and am often seen strumming away!
    • I’m an ENFP
    • Some people say I have a sense of humor…but that’s only because I can annoy them 😉

Okay folks!  I think that’s all. Please leave a comment if you have any questions, but please make sure your comment honors both God and man.

Thank you so much, Madi!

    1. I pronounce it Amie, like Amy only with an ‘ie’ for originality 😉 My parents don’t care for common names. I’ve never heard it be pronounced “ay-mee”.

  2. Hello Amie!

I just now happened to find your blog, and must I say, you have an amazing gift for writing! Your theme is very lovely, and we are alike in so many ways, according to your list! 🙂

And hey, if you ever find your way into Narnia, may I tag along? Hehe!

    1. Hello, Molly! I did see that you were from Noble Novels. I’m falling in love with that place 😉

Photography is amazing! Sounds like we have a lot in common!

  4. Hey, Amie!

Just visited your blog today! I really like your list, it’s so creative! I like your sense of humor too, when you said to go back to ‘point five’ I actually did, cause you made me curious! XD I play the piano too, and love, love it! Music is a must! Horses are such beautiful creatures. I don’t really ride, but I appreciate them for the wild lovely creatures they are! I’m looking forward to reading more of your writing. 🙂

    1. Haha! My humor gets me into lots of scrapes, but it does get me a few friends 😉 AWE! MUSC IS TOTALLY A MUST! I actually go crazy about it. Yes! Horses are pretty far away and close up…unless they throw you.
Well, I’m looking forward to my writing being seen!

  5. Hi, Amie! I think I am going to really enjoy following your blog. 🙂 I was homeschooled (but am now slowly working on a college degree) and am a believer. Oh yeah, if you do find a way to Narnia or Middle Earth, let me know the way asap!

    1. Howdy, Maddie! I’m so glad you think you will! It’s always nice to know people enjoy what you do! I hope your college degree speeds up! What are you studying for?
As I’ve said before, I’d be more than happy to show folks the way to Narnia, only I’m not quite sure I’ll want to come back.

      1. I am sort of working on a nursing degree. It has some hard course though! I certainly would not blame you for not leaving Narnia if you did get there. 🙂 But I suppose I’d be told I was too old any way.

      2. Cool! Why did you chose nursing, may I ask? I think in the real Narnia, no one is too old. Wouldn’t that be horrid if they were? But, if you have a heart and faith of a child, I’m sure you wouldn’t be turned away. 🙂

      3. I’m not sure why, actually. I actually don’t enjoy studying anatomy like I thought I would. So, I might choose a different career to peruse. 😉

Oh, I do hope so! I guess I was just thinking a little too much like Puddleglum. 😉

      4. Really? I’m pretty into anatomy, but I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be a nurse.

Oh, I like Puddleglum! “I’m for Aslan even if there isn’t any Aslan to be for!” I always mentally cheer when he says that.

  6. Hi Amie!
    I’m 16 and come from a family of 7 children. I’m the 3rd born.
I found out by reading about you that we have a lot in common!
I really enjoy reading all about you and your craziness!
I found your blog in an odd way, but I was on Allison Bontrager’s blog reading her latest post and I was looking at the comments. Then I saw the one by you and I loved your profile of yourself because it reminded me of myself because I play guitar and had been wanting to get a picture of me with my guitar just like you did! Anyway, I ended up on your blog and I’m glad I did!

    1. Hello Lydia! I love the story of how you found me! I enjoy Allison Bontrager’s blog so much. In fact, I enjoy the Bontrager’s music so much! But, I’m glad you liked my picture. I enjoy playing guitar, but not as much as piano or violin. I’m glad you enjoy my craziness!
